Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Catholic priest of the Adoration Catholic Prayer ministry, Enugu, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari and the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, could lose 2019 presidential election.
The revered priest said this at the 2018 harvest and bazaar celebration at his Adoration Ground in Emene. He said that, it had been the prayers on Adoration altar that made Buhari the president. Mbaka lamented that the president had refused to return and do a project for his ministry as some way of thanking God.
He claimed that it had been his ministry’s prayers that saved Buhari from deadly illness in 2015. Vanguard quoted Mbaka as saying: “Ask Atiku if it is these steps that the cow will take to reach Umuahia.”
Mbaka requested that Atiku ought to reach Igbo leaders like Ekweremadu andcome back in person to adoration ground and do a project for them. The cleric berated Atiku’s candidate, Peter Obi. He argued that he had not done something for his church. “Umahi donated 1,000 bags of rice and 1,000 tubers of yam to us, but it meant nothing to me until he handed N10 million cheque to me and promised to build a project for the ministry. This is the type of gesture we require from Obi,” he said” he said.
