Nigeria tops African foreign reserve ranking with over $43 billion in her reserves. Nigeria has the 27th largest reserve in the world. She is followed in Africa by South Africa (over $29billion), Botswana ($7 billion) and Angola ($6.75 billion). To put this in perspective, we are relatively debt free compared to other countries. As big as India is, her reserve is just $100 billion. So we arent doing bad. There is always the argument - if we have such large reserves, why dont we use it to improve the infrastructure and lives of Nigerians?
